Предупреждая
вопросы журналистов о грядущей истерике Тимошенко, глава государства
сказал, как отрезал, что никакого конфликта относительно сроков
перехода армии на контракт нет, поскольку вопрос оборонной политики
относится к компетенции Президента.
«Внутренние вопросы
развития украинского войска отдайте Президенту и соответствующим
органам», - сказал Ющенко, добавив, что остальные вопросы, в частности
финансирования выписаны в национальных законах.
Комментируя
законопроект БЮТ и НУ-НС о создании национальной гвардии, Ющенко
напомнил о событиях, которые произошли в Генпрокуратуре несколько
месяцев назад, когда воинское подразделение «из-за человека, который
нарушил закон, было заведено в помещение Генпрокуратуры».
По
его словам, это было свидетельством того, как человек с оружием может
использоваться «бездарными политиками» для решения внутренних
политических конфликтов. Он подчеркнул, что такого больше нельзя
допустить, поэтому всех людей в погонах нужно подчинить одному человеку
– Верховному главнокомандующему, что предусмотрено Конституцией. «Есть
